Hello!  My name is Kelly Welton, and I am proud to say that I have worked for Clay Community School for almost three decades.  I am a graduate of Indiana State University with a degree in English education. 

I have two children, both graduates of Northview High School, and live with my husband in the Terre Haute area. 

My philosophy on teaching is that all people, no matter the age or level of comprehending, are capable of learning more.  Learning should be a life-long endeavor, not confined to the classroom and the youth, and should be as enjoyable as possible.  So when I am instructing my classes, I try to make the lessons as enjoyable as possible because the brain in more receptive when happy.
