Introductory Letter
July 2015
Dear School and Community Members:
I am very honored and excited to be provided the opportunity to serve as the Superintendent of Clay Community Schools (CCS). I have lived in Clay County my entire life and am a veteran educator in CCS.My wife and I have three daughters, all who have attended schools in Clay County. I was a teacher at Jackson Township Elementary for fourteen years and was the school’s principal for sixteen years. The past two years I have served as the principal of North Clay Middle School.
I have worked closely with many CCS Staff Members throughout the years, and I can truly say that our people are our greatest asset. The dedication of our teachers, support staff, and administrators is exceptional. All of our elementary buildings have received upgrades and additions the past few years. Many of our schools are performing well above the state and national averages and have received state and national recognition, and we truly have much to be thankful for and proud of with regard to being part of CCS.Our seven member school board includes four members elected by districts and three members elected as at-large representatives. Our main focus and priority is the safety, well-being, and education of our 4000+ students.
I look for great days and years ahead for CCS and look forward to working with the entire CCS Family and Community.
Sincerely,
Jeff Fritz
Superintendent
