ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION PROGRAM
The Alternative Education Program of Clay Community Schools is an educational facility that provides individualized instruction, behavior modifications and student/family counseling for those students having problems in the traditional school setting. The Alternative Education Program serves students (grades 9 – 12) who are at risk of losing credits or who are otherwise referred by the participating schools and/or the Juvenile Probation Department. It is committed to providing a structured, personalized learning environment that empowers students to break the cycle of academic failure, poverty and hopelessness, and become competent, confident, life-long learners and productive, responsible citizens. Students are referred to the Alternative Program by their home schools.
