2024 C.A.M.P. at The Woods - Application Opens March 1st!

High school student who are rising sophomore, rising juniors, and rising seniors (current freshman, current sophomores, & current juniors) are encouraged to apply for the Challenging Ambitions and Maximizing Potential or C.A.M.P. at The Woods program and earn two college credits!  The program will be facilitated on the SMWC campus from June 3rd– 7th, 2024 (5 days). Embraced by key faculty who are experts in the subject areas for the program offerings, C.A.M.P. at The Woods generates the opportunity to develop new and innovative curricula for high school students. The programs are immersive, engaging and share an academic core framework ensuring the quality of delivery and facilitation. Each course will have prerequisites, transcripts will be required, and for some courses a letter of recommendation or essay might be required. Below you find more information on what is required for each course.

It’s also important to note that this year the program will not be a residential program. All participating students will need to be commuters. Students accepted into the program from outside the local area will need to plan for their own lodging and provide their own transportation to campus each day. On Thursday night, June 5, we plan to invite all students to stay overnight and have an evening of activities.

Space is limited for each C.A.M.P. Course. Applications will open on March 1, 2024. The application and all required materials will be due April 5, 2024. We plan to have students selected and notified by April 10th. Students that are selected/admitted to the program will be given a deadline by which to confirm their place in the program. The registration fee of $250 will be due by May 15, 2024. This fee covers all daily activities, breakfast and lunch daily, and the Thursday overnight experience.

We will again this year have the “Into The Woods” Event in which interested students and families can learn more about the program. That will be held on March 20th. How to register for that event and more information will be sent out in the coming weeks.
