My name is Rhonda Neiswinger. I grew up in Clay City, attended Clay City Elementary and Clay City High School. After graduating I attended Indiana State University. I have a degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s in Education and certified in Library Services. I substituted and coached volleyball many years prior to being hired in 2005, as the Library Media Specialist for CCHS & CCE. As of 2013, I began overseeing and ordering books for all seven elementary schools in addition to CCHS.
I believe it is important for students to become lifelong readers. I try to promote reading because it is the foundation for all learning. I feel that students that do not like to read have just not found the right book. I would like the opportunity to help them find the book that makes reading exciting for them.
Away from school, I live just outside of town with my husband, Dean. We own Neiswinger Drainage. Our daughter, Grace, is a cosmetologist, she works and lives in Clay City. We have two dogs outside and share the house with two cats.
