My name is Ben Thomas.  My degrees are in Mechanical Technology and Math Education with certifications in math, driver's education, and Industrial Engineering Technology.  After working in industry for a little while, I began teaching at Clay City in 1997.

I enjoy helping students make connections with math and applied skills.  My goal and philosophy on education is pretty simple:  All students can learn.  I desire to teach and expose willing learners to concepts which they can pursue and specialize in with their post-high school education and careers.

On a personal note, I have been married to my wife, Susan, for 18 years.  She works in Brazil as a paralegal.  We live in Brazil with our two cats, Little Miss Firecracker and Q*bert.
