Welcome to Jackson Township Elementary - home of the Hornets! Our school provides students a safe, secure, and respectful learning environment to help them be successful. Our staff sets high academic and behavioral standards for the students. In addition to the Clay Community Schools elementary curriculum, students also receive instruction on how to be good citizens via the Jackson Township Elementary Character Education Program. The Character Education Program was developed and personalized for Jackson Township Elementary. Thirty-three character qualities are reinforced through daily lessons and displays in the hallways and the cafeteria.
Historically, JTE's standardized test scores have been well above the state average. Even though our students continue to do very well, the staff is constantly striving to improve. Much time is spent analyzing test data and teaching strategies and methods. I am very proud of the students' and staff members' accomplishments and appreciate their desire to excel.
The active and supportive PTO and the involvement of the parents are welcomed and appreciated. The working relationship of all the stakeholders provides a family atmosphere at the school.
