My name is Alison Whitman, and I am the junior high English teacher here at Clay City.  In 2003, I received my bachelor's degree in English teaching from Indiana State University.  Then, I began my career in Parke County where I taught at Turkey Run Jr. / Sr. High School for fourteen years and Parke Heritage High School for two.  Throughout my sixteen years in education, I have taught students in grades 7-12.

When I'm not at school, my husband and I enjoy traveling around to watch our four children in their various activities.  When we're not on the road, we enjoy hanging out together and watching movies.

I'm excited to be at Clay City and to help my students see their potential and reach their goals.  I hope by working together, we can have a great year!
