Hello, my name is Robert Boltinghouse and I am Principal of North Clay Middle School. I have worked for Clay Community Schools for 7.5 years. My first year and half with Clay Community, I worked at Clay City Jr/Sr High as the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director. Prior to working in administration, I taught Special Education at Edgewood High School for 8 years. While at Edgewood, I was also the Varsity Track and Field Coach and Assistant Football Coach.
I completed my undergraduate work at Indiana State University where I majored in Elementary Education and also played football for the Sycamores from 1998-2001. I completed my Masters Degree from Indiana University where I studied Special Education. I also completed the Administrative Licensure Program through Indiana University as well.
I have been married to my wife Aleta for 16 years. Aleta is also an educator. She teachers 5th/6th grade inclusion for Spencer Owen Community Schools. We have 3 amazing children, Ashlyn 13, Austin 10 and Adalyn 2! We do everything as a family and enjoy traveling and camping together. Our favorite family trip is taking the camper to Tennessee and Disney World.
I feel North Clay is a special place and it is a privilege to work with the fine students and staff we have here. WE ARE NORTH CLAY!
