Mrs. Smith - Spanish Teacher
My name is Dilia Smith and I have had the privilege of being a Spanish teacher since 2007. I grew up in Colombia, South America, and attended college at Indiana State University, where I received a bachelor's degree in Language, Literature, and Linguistics. I also earned a Master's degree of Education from Saint Mary of the Woods college. I feel very privileged to be joining this amazing team of teachers and to facilitate growth and learning for the students.
I have a passion for teaching my native language. The personal satisfaction that I receive from teaching the students is immeasurable. The greatest joy that I have felt is when my students speak the Spanish language after taking classes with me. I feel a sense of personal accomplishment, as well as pride in the students at North Clay Middle School.
